There are not many individuals who can show a lifelong commitment to the relationship between two cities. Yet, that credit now goes officially to Vivien Brown<\/strong> who has spent countless years promoting her home town of Bristol and helping to forge and maintain links with Bordeaux.
A member of the Bristol Bordeaux Partnership (BBP<\/strong>) and Deputy Chair for many years, Vivien was recently decorated by the outgoing Mayor of Bristol Andrew Varney. She received The Lord Mayor\u2019s Medal in recognition of her services for the twinning relationship between Bristol and Bordeaux and the links she has forged with her involvement with the Bristol International Twinning Association.
Delighted to hear of this news, the Bordeaux-Bristol Association<\/strong> would like to congratulate Vivien for her commitment and look forward to the next time she visits our city. A fluent French speaker, Vivien has been commended for \u201c\u2026 bringing warmth and selfless dedication\u201d when conversing with President Valerie Bonnet or during her various visits to Bordeaux.<\/p>

She has a heartfelt desire to do her best in all circumstances that translates into the best for all concerned and is an outstanding voluntary ambassador internationally for the City of Bristol\u201d.<\/p>

Il n’y a pas beaucoup d’individus qui peuvent montrer un engagement \u00e0 vie dans la relation entre deux villes. Pourtant, ce cr\u00e9dit revient maintenant officiellement \u00e0 Vivien Brown<\/strong> qui a pass\u00e9 d’innombrables ann\u00e9es \u00e0 promouvoir sa ville natale de Bristol et \u00e0 aider \u00e0 forger et \u00e0 maintenir des liens avec Bordeaux.
Membre du Bristol Bordeaux Partnership (BBP<\/strong>) et vice-pr\u00e9sidente pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, Vivien a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cor\u00e9e par le maire sortant de Bristol, Andrew Varney. Elle a re\u00e7u la m\u00e9daille du Lord Maire en reconnaissance de ses services rendus dans le cadre des relations de jumelage entre Bristol et Bordeaux et des liens qu’elle a tiss\u00e9s gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son implication dans l’Association internationale de jumelage de Bristol.
Ravi d’apprendre cette nouvelle, l’association\u00a0 Bordeaux-Bristol<\/strong> tient \u00e0 f\u00e9liciter Vivien pour son engagement et se r\u00e9jouit de sa prochaine visite dans notre ville. Parlant couramment le fran\u00e7ais, Vivien a \u00e9t\u00e9 f\u00e9licit\u00e9e pour \u00ab … chaleur et d\u00e9vouement d\u00e9sint\u00e9ress\u00e9” lors de ses conversations avec la Pr\u00e9sidente Val\u00e9rie Bonnet ou lors de ses diff\u00e9rentes visites \u00e0 Bordeaux.<\/p>

\u00ab Vivien n’a cess\u00e9 de travailler en coulisse ann\u00e9e apr\u00e8s ann\u00e9e. Ses efforts sont essentiels \u00e0 notre travail avec les communaut\u00e9s de Bristol ainsi qu’aux anciens \u00e9l\u00e8ves des \u00e9changes scolaires<\/strong> de l’Association Bordeaux-Bristol<\/strong> depuis plusieurs d\u00e9cennies. Elle a un d\u00e9sir sinc\u00e8re de faire de son mieux en toutes circonstances, ce qui se traduit par le meilleur pour toutes les personnes concern\u00e9es, et elle est une ambassadrice b\u00e9n\u00e9vole exceptionnelle \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle internationale pour la ville de Bristol.<\/p>
